Nellie E. Dowdal, age 75 of Newell, died Monday January 3, 2011 at the Sturgis Regional Medical Center in Sturgis. No services will be held. Funeral arrangements are with Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche. Nellie is survived by her partner of many years, Ron Lauters of Newell; daughter, Lynda Smith of Wisconsin; and sisters, Jewell White and Nala Cliff, both of Wisconsin.
