Robert O. Fay

Robert O. Fay, age 47 of Belle Fourche, died Sunday January 16th, 2011 at his home in Belle Fourche. No services will be held. Funeral arrangements are with Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche. Robert Owen Fay was born November 13, 1963 in DeKalb, Illinois. He was the son of Vernon and Margaret (Endler) Fay. Robert grew up in DeKalb Illinois where he graduated from high school in 1982. For many years he worked at South Town Service in DeKalb as an auto mechanic. In 1985 he was united in marriage to Debra Reed at her parent’s home in Rockford, Illinois. For many years they lived in Malta, Illinois. For many years they vacationed in the Big Horn Mountains of Wyoming. It was their love of the mountains and the Black Hills that brought them to Belle Fourche in 2002. Robert has worked at the Dakota Bus Company in Spearfish, where he was a bus mechanic. Bob will be remembered for being a very hard worker and his love of hiking in the Big Horn Mountains. He was a dedicated father and together he and Debbie enjoyed 27 years together. He will be greatly missed. Robert is survived by his wife of many years, Debra of Belle Fourche; daughter, Alexandra Fay of Belle Fourche; son, David (Vivian) Shrader of Burr Ridge IL; grandson, Kyle Shrader of Burr Ridge IL; and brother, Martin (Anita) Fay of DeKalb, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents.
