** TO VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE, CLICK ON WEBLINK ABOVE ** Lois Waugh, age 84 of Sundance, died Saturday May 5, 2012 at the Hospice House in Rapid City. The funeral service will be held 11am Saturday May 12th, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Hulett, WY with Rev. Jim Palus officiating. There will be no visitation. Interment will take place in the Alva Cemetery, in Alva, WY. Arrangements are with Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche. Lois Belle Willson was born May 23, 1927 in Aladdin, Wyoming. She was the daughter of Earl and Beatrice (Chittim) Willson. Lois was raised in Hulett, Wyoming and she attended grade school and high school there. Lois was united in marriage to John M. Waugh on April 1, 1946 in Broadus, Montana. After raising her family, Lois worked at a shoe store for many years, and she cooked at hospitals and cared for the elderly for several years. She enjoyed sewing for her family; searching for Indian artifacts, and reading. Preceding their deaths, Lois gave “in home care” to her mother, mother-in-law, husband, and her father. When her youngest grandchild, Rosalee, was ten months old, Lois took her in to love and bring back to good health, raising her as her own. Lois was a story teller and a caregiver, and she was the “hub” of her family. She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and as well as her sister, and other relatives and friends. Lois is survived by her children, John Waugh of Portland OR, Lee Roy (Loretta) Waugh of Yucaipa CA, Sandra Huber of Sitka AK, Duane (Karen) of Lead SD; 6 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and her sister, Neil Agar of Hulett WY. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John in 1983; son, Steve Waugh; granddaughter, Rosalee Waugh; great granddaughter, Jessica; and brother, Bill Willson.
