Myra Quint, age 82 of Belle Fourche, died Tuesday August 28th, 2012 at the Belle Fourche Health Care Center. A memorial service will be held 10:30am Friday August 31st, 2012 at Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche. There will be no visitation. Inurnment will take place in the Black Hills National Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Hospice of the Northern Hills. Myra Henderson was born December 17, 1929 in Casper, Wyoming. She was the daughter of Milton and Frances (Gordon) Henderson. In 1963, she was united in marriage to Gerald Quint. Together they enjoyed 47 years of marriage. Myra worked at J.C. Penney’s in Belle Fourche for several years. She also worked for Black Hills Power in Belle Fourche as an office manager for 35 years. She loved her job there, and shortly after turning 65 years old she retired. In 1969, Myra became the first person in Belle Fourche to obtain a GED through the Belle Fourche Adult Education. She enjoyed bowling, watching and feeding her birds and squirrels at home, and years ago she excelled as a sharp shooter on the Belle Fourche Rifle Team. Gerald and Myra enjoyed many hobbies together, especially hunting for arrowheads and artifacts. Myra is survived by her sons, Rodney of Belle Fourche, Roger (Pamela) of Rapid City; 3 step grandchildren; 7 step great grandchildren; brother, Rodney Henderson of Lander, WY; and sisters, Wilma Jones of Missouri, and Peggy Anderson of Weeping Water, Nebraska. She is also survived by her aunt and uncle, Gale (Rose) Gordon of Riverton WY; and several nieces and nephews. Myra was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Gerald Quint; son, Robert; daughter, Sharon; half-sisters, Vera Carr and Doris Suchland.
