Valerie Fuller

Graveside Inurnment Committal Services will be held on Saturday, July 5th, 2014 at the Pine Slope Cemetery in Belle Fourche, SD at 11:00 am.   Pastor Jeff Otterman will officiate the service.  Arrangements are with Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche. Valerie Jeanne (Val) Fuller, 59, of Queen Creek, Arizona, passed away January 21st, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a 2 year battle with Glibolastoma Brain Cancer. Valerie was born on January 7th, 1954 at Camp Gordon Army base, Georgia to Duane and Bonnie Wilcox. The family lived in numerous S.D. towns, before settling in Belle Fourche S.D, where she attended and graduated from Belle Fourche High School in 1972. There she met and married Gerald (Gary) Fuller, on August 19th, 1974.Gary and Val moved to Arizona in1986, where Gary continued to pursue his career in law enforcement, and Valerie was able to continue caring for children and families within the local school districts until she retired in 2010. Valerie was as loving mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend to many. A true cowgirl at heart, Valerie loved to barrel race in her early years, and her love for animals, especially horses continued through out her life. Her sense of humor and loving heart, will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Val remains an amazing example of a loving and beautiful spirit; shown not only through her love of her own family but the children and families she cared deeply for as an elementary school administrative assistant. Valerie is survived by her sons, Jarrod Fuller of Queen Creek, Az, Jason Fuller (Meredith), of Las Vegas, NV. Also by her mother Bonnie Wilcox of Chandler, Az, her brother Kent Wilcox of Chandler, Az, her sister, Tracy Wilcox Forrest (Joel) of Peoria Az, as well as many nieces and nephews, and her loving husband's many relatives who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her father, Duane Wilcox, her husband Gary Fuller, and her brother Jeff Wilcox. A memorial service was held at 11 am on February 7th, 2013, at Chandler Christian Church; Chandler AZ.
