Jack Moore

Jack L. Moore, age 77 of Belle Fourche, died Thursday, September 26th, 2013 at the Belle Fourche Regional Senior Care Center. Funeral arrangements are pending with Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche.Services are tentatively scheduled for the week of October 14th.  When plans are finalized, this website will be updated immediately. Jack Lee Moore was born June 1, 1936 in Columbus, Ohio.  He was the son of Delmer and Mabel (Wilcox) Moore.  Jack grew up in Ohio, and was a graduate of Ohio State University.  For many years, Jack was in the garment business and this took him to department stores all across the country.  For several years, Jack lived in the Eastern U.S. and later he settled in California where he sold cars as well as his clothing for his garment business.  On May 5, 1981 he met Mary Schnitger and the following July they were united in marriage.  On New Years Eve Day, 1990, Jack and Mary moved to Belle Fourche SD and 2 months later they settled in Spearfish.  In 1994 they moved back to California, and in 1998 the returned to Spearfish.  On June 26, 2004 they bought a house in Belle Fourche, where they have lived since. Jack is survived by his wife, Mary of Belle Fourche; 1 son, Steven Moore of Renton WA; 1 daughter, Julie Plummer of Saginaw MI; and 2 step-sons, Terry Schumacher of Redding CA, and Douglas Schumacher of Sacramento CA. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Maxine Rausche.
