Trudy M. Hunt

Gertrude “Trudy” Hunt, age 83 of Belle Fourche, died Tuesday, March 18th, 2014 at the Pioneer Manor Nursing Home in Gillette Wyoming. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 am Monday, March 24th, 2014 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Belle Fourche.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will take place in the St. Aloysius Cemetery, in Sturgis. Funeral arrangements are with Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche. Gertrude Marie Richmond was born March 25, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan.  She was the daughter of Chester and Margaret (Rousseau) Richmond.  On June 13, 1964, Trudy was united in marriage to James Hunt.  Shortly after their marriage the couple moved to Reva SD where they ranched.  While there, they adopted two children, J.J. and Jimmy.  Later they moved to Belle Fourche where they lived for several years.  James died in 1996 and since then, Trudy has lived at home in Belle Fourche. Trudy is survived by her brothers, Coley and Guy Wright of Michigan; several nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Ardeth Hunt of Sturgis. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; son, John “J.J.” Hunt; sisters, Bernadette, Dorothy, and Margaret.
