Theola Reber

Theola P. Reber, age 88 of Belle Fourche, died Monday May 12th, 2014 at the Spearfish Regional Hospital. The funeral service will be held 2pm Tuesday May 20th, 2014 at Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will take place in Willamitte National Cemetery, in Portland Oregon. Theola Pauline Reber was born November 10, 1925 in Winner, South Dakota. She was the daughter of Charles and Clara (Maher) Green. At a young age, Theola was married to Otto Ritchie in Rapid City. To this union were born four children: Donald, Timothy, Nancy, and Debbie. Following their marriage they lived in Hot Springs and in 1959 they moved to Oregon. Otto died in 1965. On March 27, 1970, Theola was married to Earl Reber in Reno Nevada. Following their marriage they lived in Forest Grove Oregon. In 2007, the couple moved to Belle Fourche where they have lived since. Theola loved crafts and flowers, and she enjoyed gardening in her flower garden. She and Earl had a special relationship, and she will be greatly missed. Theola is survived by her husband, Earl of Belle Fourche; children, Donald (Janet) Ritchie of Bremerton WA, Timothy Ritchie of Carlton OR, Nancy (Richard) Vidler of Buxton OR, Debbie Whittit of Buxton OR; step-children, Paula Gonzale of Reno NV, Jack Reber of McCleary WA; and daughter, Lynn Reber of Woodbridge VA. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Lou Larive of Belle Fourche; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Theola is preceded in death by her parents; first Husband, Otto Ritchie; brothers, Willard, Orvind, Dale, Richard, Glen, Jim, Pat, Don, Charles; and sister, Sharon.
