** VIDEO TRIBUTE CAN BE VIEWED BELOW ** Shirley Moore-Peterson age 77 of Spearfish, died Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the Garden Hills Assisted Living Center in Spearfish. A Celebration of Life Service will take place Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 11am until 1pm at the Word of Life Church in Billings, Montana. There will be no visitation. Private burial will take place by the immediate family beside her best friend and husband, Ralph Peterson. Funeral arrangements are with Leverington Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche. Shirley Mae McCracken was born October 4, 1939 in Billings, Montana. She was the daughter of Guy and Eunice (Sherrodd) McCracken. Shirley was united in marriage to Leslie Moore Jr. on September 16, 1961. Following their marriage they lived in Columbus and Billings Montana. They later divorced. On December 31, 1976, Shirley was married to Ralph Peterson in Billings. They lived in Billings for many years. Ralph died in 2001. For the past two years, Shirley has lived in Belle Fourche. She will be remembered as being one of the most caring and loving people a person could know. She will be missed by her friends and family very much. Shirley is survived by her sons, Kelly (Amelia) Moore of Belle Fourche; Ronald (Carla) McCracken of Billings MT, Jeffery Moore of Billings MT; daughter, Debbie Moore of Billings MT; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brother, Fred (Sandra) McCracken of Montana; and many nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Guy and Eunice McCracken; husband, Charles Peterson; and sister, Sharon Miller.
