Visitation will take place 4 to 6 pm, with a time of sharing stories at 6pm on Tuesday at Leverington Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche. Interment will be held in Pine Slope Cemetery. Grace Remington was born on the family farmstead June 11, 1928 near Mott, North Dakota to Keith and Carrie (Campbell) Remington. She was the third of eight children. She attended Mott Public School and graduated in 1946. The following November, Grace was united in marriage to Louis Bolte. To this union 4 children were born: Gary, David, Shirley, and Daryl (who died in infancy). Following their marriage, Grace and Louis lived in various towns including Regent and Hettinger ND, McIntosh, Deadwood, and in 1954 they settled in Belle Fourche. Grace worked at the Blue Belle Cleaners, Piggly Wiggly, Farmers Home Administration, Local Port of Entry, Butte County Clerk of Courts, and she also worked for Boeing when the missiles came to this area. She would say however, that her main purpose was to care and love her 3 children. In September of 1968 she was married to Daryl Fulton and they enjoyed life together for 30 years, before Daryl’s death in 1998. Grace was a Cub Scout leader, a Big Sister, a seamstress, and she designed and made a countless number of 1890 costumes. She will be remembered for her competitive spirit in life and her great talent when it came to knitting, crocheting, quilting, and especially sewing. She was caring and friendly; she could talk to anyone, and she enjoyed bird watching. Grace will be missed greatly by her family and friends. Grace is survived by her children, Gary (Terry) Bolte of Salida CO, David (Margie) Bolte of Belle Fourche, Shirley (Butch) Abelseth of Rapid City; brother, Darrel Remington of Regent ND; sister, Ethelyn Marthaller of Hettinger, ND; 4 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
