Daniel G. Fischbeck

** Video Tribute Can Be Viewed Below ** Daniel Fischbeck, age 64 of Belle Fourche, died Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at his home, with his loving wife, Joyce by his side. A celebration of his life will take place 11am Saturday, December 30th, 2017 at Leverington Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche. Daniel George Fischbeck was born May 13, 1953 in Downey, California. He was the son of Daniel and Mildred Louise (Donald) Fischbeck. When he was 6 weeks old the family moved to Clairmont CA where Daniel grew up and attended school. In 1971 he graduated from the Clairmont High School. Dan was a 3rd generation plumber and he was blessed to have a father who taught him everything. For many years they did commercial plumbing. Dan was also a gifted mechanic, and for many years he worked on heavy equipment, and school busses as well. He built 7 Chevy pickup trucks from the ground up. On August 13, 1980 he was united in marriage to Joyce Coffill in San Diego. Following their marriage they lived in Ocean Beach CA. In early 2014 they moved to Mexico for a short time, later that year moving to Whitewood SD where they lived at the Westberg Ranch. In July of 2016 they moved to Belle Fourche where they have lived since. Since moving to South Dakota, Daniel and Joyce became very good friends with Billye Tracy and the Jeff Westberg families. Time spent on the Westberg ranch was one of his favorite places to be. There he got to know Jeff’s grandson, Will and together they enjoyed a special relationship. Working at New Generation Feeds in Belle Fourche was like spending time with a family to Dan. He loved it there. Dan was a very intelligent man, he loved hunting and fishing, and he was strong and gentle. He could talk to anyone. He loved his wiener dogs, he loved his family, and he was a very proud grandfather. He loved fireworks and in many ways was a pyromaniac. Dan was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be missed greatly. Daniel is survived by his wife, Joyce of Belle Fourche; daughters, Tambra (Ryan) Noell of Carlsbad CA, Dawn Marie (Mike) Erwin of Honokaa Hawaii, Danielle (Dave) Erwin of El Cajon CA; son, Anthony (Kristine) Fischbeck of Modesto, CA; 6 grandchildren, Jenika, Makenzie, Noah, Rylee, Anthony, Aiden James; and he is also survived by his brother, Tony Fischbeck of Clairmont, CA; and his wonderful dog, “Koda”. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Casey.
