Audrey Kay Reiners

Audrey Kay Reiners age 74 of Belle Fourche, formerly Sioux Falls, died Wednesday February 17, 2010, at the Belle Fourche Regional Senior Care Center in Belle Fourche, with her loving daughters at her side. The funeral service will be held 1:30 P.M. Saturday February 20, 2010 at Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche, with Rev. Paul Howard officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held in Pine Slope Cemetery, in Belle Fourche. Friends and family may leave written condolences and view Audrey’s video tribute at www.funeralhomeofthenorthernhills.com Audrey Kay Wheeldon was born January 17, 1936 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She was the daughter of Cecil and Elvera (Larson) Wheeldon. Audrey grew up and attended school in Sioux Falls. In 1953 she was united in marriage to Wylum Nelson in Sioux Falls. To this union 3 children were born: Jeffrey, Jody, and Jami. Audrey’s father died when she was 11 years olf and because of this, Audrey and Wylum farmed with her mother and step-father Dick Reiners for several years following their marriage. In 1961, Audrey was married to Wayne Mausbach in Sioux Falls. To this union two children were born: Valerie and Kathy. Following their marriage they lived in Sioux Falls where Audrey worked in the cosmetic and pharmacy department of Lewis Drug. Later she also worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken. In 1971 she was married to Dennis Reiners in Sioux Falls. To this union one daughter was born: Melanie, who joined Timothy, Troy, and Travis. In 2000, Audrey moved to Belle Fourche, where she has lived since. Audrey was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease ten years ago. Through all the frustrations that came with that disease, Audrey will be remembered for her strength, her courage, and her faith. Audrey was a devoted mother and grandmother, and will be missed greatly by her family. Audrey is survived by her son, Jeffery of Alcester, SD; daughters, Jody (Rudy) Topping of Firestone CO, Jami (Douglas) Larson of Belle Fourche, Valerie Larson of Watertown SD, Kathy Merritt of Sioux Falls, Melanie Hamilton of Belle Fourche; 15 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 3 sisters, Peggy (Si) Herrmann of Watertown, Tania (Bob) Goos of Aberdeen, and Rhonda (Marvin) Buckneberg of Sioux Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents; and grandsons, Tyler and Lawson. May God Bless the Memory of Audrey Kay Reiners.
