Anthony Jacob was born at New Rockford, ND on May 18th, 1983. He was the son of Alan Omoth and Jena Laber.  Anthony spent most of his younger years in Devils Lake, ND, graduated from Devils Lake High School in 2001, and continued to live there until 2022. Anthony always enjoyed animals, fishing, being outdoors, and time with his friends. He lived at the Sullivan farm where he worked with his friend, Tee. Later, Anthony helped Tee’s dad, Larry Sullivan, before leaving Devils Lake.

Anthony loved spending time with his grandparents and extended family. Anthony loved all the special time he spent with his grandparents, Oliver and Deloris Omoth on the family farm and had many good memories with them. Anthony also enjoyed the time he spent with his other grandparents, Joe and Mavis Laber and Harold and Kathryn Stroklund.

In 2022, Anthony moved to Spearfish, SD, where his mom, Jena Laber lived. While in Spearfish, Anthony loved working at both Culver’s and Walmart and was employed with both at the time of his passing. Anthony fell in love with South Dakota and the Black Hills and enjoyed going on trips to explore the area. During his time in South Dakota, he was also guided by another mentor, Lloyd Boisjolie, whom Anthony met through his mom.

Anthony loved working on his truck and was proud of himself having done all of the work to get it running smoothly. He loved quiet times at his apartment and spending time with his cat, Ringo. Always a fan of football, Anthony was a fan of the Green Bay Packers.

Anthony was dearly loved by so many. He will be missed by all of his family and friends.

Anthony is survived by his dad Alan (Trish) Omoth of Spearfish and his mom, Jena Laber of Spearfish, who loved him dearly. He was also blessed to have wonderful fathers in Alan (JoAnne) Stroklund of West Point Iowa, and Mark Everson of Devils Lake ND.  Together, Anthony’s parents all played a role in making him the wonderful, hard-working, kind, loving, and compassionate man that he had become.

Other family members include: Fred and Judy Bott, Mandan, ND, Randy and Linda Laber, Bismarck, ND. Gary Laber and Kris Bjelde, Fargo, ND. He shared his childhood with his siblings: brother, Adam Stroklund, half siblings, Kim Gifford (Chad), Kris Stroklund, Jessica Everson (Troy), Austin Everson (McKenzie), and Melanie Faith Flippin. Anthony is also survived by many other aunts, uncles, and extended family members.
