Carol Elaine Kitzerow was born November 15, 1939 in Thermopolis, Wyoming.  She was the daughter of Edward and Rose (Barham) Kitzerow.  At an early age, Carol moved with her family to Greybull Wyoming where she grew up and attended school.  Age the age of 16, Carol was united in marriage to Robert Marion Christensen in Red Lodge, Montana on July 17, 1956.  To this union was born 3 children: Robert, Karla, and Lisa.  They were married 57 years.  In 1957, Carol graduated from the Greybull High School.  Greybull was where Robert grew up as well.  He graduated from Greybull high school in 1951. Afterwards you could find Robert at the theatre where he operated the projector systems.  He also was a policeman.

Following their marriage, Carol and Robert moved to Worland Wyoming where Robert worked as a Lineman for Pacific Power and Light..  Those years working as a Lineman were good ones, as Robert loved that job and in his later years he always enjoyed telling stories from his times working there.  In 1966 the couple moved to Glenrock Wyoming, where Robert (known as “Swede”) worked at Pacificorp Dave Johnston Power Company.   They would live there for the rest of their lives.  Robert was promoted to Control Room Operator and in the early 1990’s, at the age of 62 he retired.  Robert was an intelligent and skilled man.  He and Carol built the house in Glenrock that they lived in for so many years.  Sadly he passed away in 2013.

For many years, Robert lived with Crohn’s Disease.  The stomach ailment was painful and it required Carol to take special care of him.  She quickly learned how to cook healthy meals and she became excellent at cooking healthy food that tasted good.  She made homemade noodles, bread, soups, and more.  Those years required them to stay home a lot, and they missed out on the traveling that so many enjoy.  Carol was an avid reader and instilled the love of reading in some of her children.  She was friendly and warm, yet not as outgoing as Robert.  They did everything together in life and they will be greatly missed by their family.

Carol is survived by her daughters, Karla (Jeff) Samona of Spearfish, Lisa Wiederrich of Creswell OR; and 3 grandchildren, Krystal Wiederrich, Robert and Kathryn Veiga.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; son, Robert Jr., and brothers, Sheldon and Carl Kitzerow.
