Daryl Grusing, age 71 of Belle Fourche, died Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at his home following a battle with COPD.

No services will be held.

Daryl Lynn Grusing was born April 21, 1955 in Dumas, Texas. He was the son of John and Evelyn Grusing. When Daryl was 16 or 17, he moved to South Dakota and shortly after, he enjoyed hitch hiking across the country. In 1989 he was united in marriage to Carolyn Larive in Belle Fourche, at the Summit Open Bible Church. Following their marriage they lived in Belle Fourche for a time, and for 12 years they lived in Wyoming. In 2013 they settled in Belle Fourche where Daryl lived the rest of his life. Daryl worked as a heavy equipment operator for several different types of companies.

Daryl is survived by his wife, Carolyn of Belle Fourche; son, Daryl Jr. of Belle Fourche; 5 step-children, Tim DuBois of Belle Fourche, Jamie DuBois of Arizona, Bob DuBois of Arizona, Tina DuBois of Belle Fourche, Lacy DuBois of Rapid City; 12 step grandchildren; and two brothers, Mike Grusing and John Paul Grusing both of Belle Fourche.
