David Lawerance Moran, 66, of Belle Fourche, South Dakota, passed away on April 10, 2026, in Rapid City, South Dakota. Born on July 4, 1959, in Yankton, South Dakota, David lived a life marked by kindness and a deep connection to those around him. David proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1978 to 1983. His time in the Navy was a testament to his dedication and sense of duty. As a man of many passions, David found joy in fishing, hunting, and had a green thumb for gardening. These hobbies allowed him to connect with nature and provided countless cherished moments with family and friends. He was known for his warm demeanour and willingness to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed. Those who knew him remember him as someone who got along with everyone and brought light into their lives.

David is survived by many cousins who will carry forward his memory. He was predeceased by his parents, Charlie Moran and Edna Van Zante, as well as his maternal and paternal grandparents.
