Donnie Jacobs

Don Lynn Jacobs was born May 10, 1965 in Belle Fourche, South Dakota. He was the son of Don and Marie (Turpen) Jacobs. Donnie grew up and attended school in Belle Fourche, graduating with the class of 1985. Throughout his life, one of the things Donnie enjoyed was traveling, especially on his Harley Davidson. Part of his life was spent living in California where he worked at a yogurt factory. Since the 1990’s, Donnie has lived in Rapid City. For more than 20 years he worked for the Rapid City, Pierre, and Eastern Railroad Company as one of the crew members who maintained the track. Donnie loved riding his Harley all over, and it complimented his wild and free personality well.

Donnie died at the age of 60 on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at his home in Rapid City.

Donnie is survived by his mother, Marie Jacobs of Belle Fourche; daughter, Kimberly Jacobs Powell of Piedmont SD; sister, Julie Beck of Spirit Lake Iowa; nieces and nephew, Amber, Kayleigh, and Matthew; as well as great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and father.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1pm Monday, June 9, 2025 at Leverington Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche. There will be no visitation.
