Frances Rose Abacherli was born May 7, 1932 in Chino, California. She was the daughter of Louis and Frances (DeLeon) Abacherli. Rosie grew up on a family dairy farm near Chino. She was united in marriage to James Pierce on September 21, 1952 in Chino, CA. Rosie and Jim were born in the same town, just four months apart. They were classmates in school. They enjoyed 68 years of marriage, and they would die within 5 months of each other, in the same place. It was a remarkable life story and a marriage that was surely meant to be. Together Jim and Frances raised six children. After living in Chino for many years, they ranched in Buhl Idaho, raising sheep and cattle. For the past 15 years, they have enjoyed retirement in Alzada, Montana. Jim went home to heaven in August of 2020.
In her younger years, Rosie was very active for many years as a 4H Leader. She also was active with the Young Homemakers, and various aspects of church. She was a talented cake decorator and sewing, and crafts as well. She loved dancing, and she was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. For the past 8 years, Rosie has suffered from Alzheimer’s. Now she is home in heaven, set free from the burdens of life on earth. She was loved and she will be greatly missed by her family.
