Shawna Weishaar, age 63 of Belle Fourche, tragically died Thursday, October 23, 2025 as a result of an accident when her automobile hit a deer on a highway near Aberdeen SD.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10 am Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Leverington Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche. The service will be live-streamed from her obituary page located on the funeral home’s website at: www.LeveringtonFH.com

Shawna Laree Viken was born December 28, 1961 in Hettinger, North Dakota. She was the daughter of Oscar and Bonita (Christenson) Viken. On November 5, 1984, Shawna was united in marriage to Loren Weishaar in Watford City, North Dakota. Following their marriage they lived in Belle Fourche. Loren died this past August. Shawna and Loren loved playing games, especially Pinnacle. Shawna was a wonderful grandmother. Her grandkids meant everything to her. She loved music and she loved her cats and dogs.

Shawna is survived by her sons, Loren, Justin, and Andrew, all of Belle Fourche; step-daughter, Ivory (William) Vane of Maine; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Les Viken and Kelly Viken of Minnesota; sister, Ronda Gripentro of Fargo ND; her mother, Bonita Viken of Fosston MN; and several nieces and nephews.
