Thomas Karl Bluhm was born October 14, 1946 in Ohio. He was the son of Karl and Jean. After graduating from high school, Thomas enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served for a short time. For many years, Thomas worked as a draftsman, laying out circuit boards for Picker International and Channel Products Inc., where he was able to use his God-given artistic and mechanical gifts. On June 15, 1987, Thomas was united in marriage to Mieko Hatori in Ohio. Together they were blessed with 34 years of marriage.
Thomas's greatest gift was the gift of salvation from His God. In retrospect, it is clear that the Lord had His hand upon Thomas all lifelong, even though it wasn't until adulthood that he truly began to know his Creator personally. About the year 1991, the Lord started to powerfully draw Thomas, which began his spiritual pilgrimage through studying the Bible and being part of the church that lasted the rest of his earthly life, during which time the Lord used Thomas to bring his wife to saving faith in Christ as well. Now, Thomas's spiritual pilgrimage has finally culminated in him reaching paradise, to be with his Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. Thomas will be greatly missed.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Mieko Bluhm of Spearfish: and son Luke Bluhm; daughters, Tabatha and Mia Bluhm; 5 grandchildren; 4 brothers, Tim, Terry, Toby, and Tad Bluhm; sister, Bonnie Bluhm; and many nieces and nephews.
